SPECTACULAR WEEKEND IN CONNECTICUT'S NORTHWEST CORNER!!!
10.11.07
This last weekend may be one for the record books! It was truly amazing and the NW CT Towns that had festivals going on, Salisbury and Warren to name two, were packed with participants and events for all to see.
Although foliage may not have been at peak, it was very good in many sections and my drive suggestions were probably most appropriate.
There also was some real estate activity going on, although I am not sure whether "we" (real estate agents) became "added events" for recreation, or more serious results. Time will tell.
Predicted heating oil prices are not good, as I heard on the news Tuesday AM, although pricing seems totally UN-related to actual predicted inventories and/or weather. So far the weather has not demanded much, if any oil/gas supply demands. Steady 80 degree weather in October is unheard of; And, remember the 70 degree day we had one Saturday last JANUARY!
As the leaves come down, remember that they will clog gutter systems, drainage basins, and make roadways slippery. Appropriate maintenance and safe driving should be planned.
There are some smart real estate shoppers currently on the hunt for good property, at great prices. The current softness will remain for a while, but watch what is "picked" up over the next 6 months or so, by the smart shoppers.
