ENCOURAGING SIGNS?

12.10.09

Judging from the 'spurt' in activity over the last 3 weeks, it would appear that business was/is improving around the NW corner real estate offices. Just as one must 'walk before you run', you have to look in order to buy.

Looking has certainly increased. Offers are being made, in some cases, and deals are occurring, here and there.

What should not be expected, by sellers, is that buyers will be 'generous' with their offers. They are not, for the most part. Buyers know that they are mostly in the driver's seat. They have a lot of possible incentives to buy. First home buyer incentives in some instances; excellent long term interest rates for all if both they, and the property qualify. That factor, in fact may drive a desire to land a purchase during this current activity 'burst'.

Sales will occur on a case-by-case basis where the sellers are ready to let go, declare their property more of a commodity than an emotional 'hold', and realize that they can't move on without letting go of the present. 2010 is just around the corner and there are some good, even great, opportunities available if the buyers know where to look.

TECHNOLOGY
The Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck ended over the weekend and, for fair lovers, it offers an extraordinary array of booths that should satisfy anyone on almost any level. For a technologist such as myself, it did not disappoint.

IT IS MUSTY INSIDE!!
Keeping ahead of the mildew is probably the greatest task you may face.

...behind their names, food is what they are all about. THEY are JAM and WHEN PIGS FLY.
